The Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs (AVE) is demanding that the region's leaders put pressure on Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to restore all economic activity. The AVE said that the restart of economic activity could be accomplished while ensuring the safety and health measures of staff. It insisted that despite the Spanish government's announcement of a gradual opening of the country's businesses, the pace is far too slow. He also rejected calls for the hotel and tourism sectors to remain closed until the end of the year, saying that businessmen and workers could not be singled out by public officials as the enemy.
