Action discount chain opened its 200th store in Poland
The non-food discount chain Action has opened a 200th store in Poland, the company said. Action markets are present in all provinces, supplied by two Polish distribution centers. The newest facility was opened in the Pasaż Świętokrzyski shopping center in Kielce and has a standard area of approximately 1000 sqm.

Global network turnover in the first quarter of 2022 increased by over a quarter, to EUR 1.8 billion. Throughout 2021, Action's consolidated turnover grew by 23%, and operating profit increased by 36%, reaching EUR 932 million in the twelve months to April 3. The number of employees in Poland is approaching 3,000 people.
"Since our entry to Poland in 2017, we have opened 200 stores and we plan to maintain the current growth rate. We want to continue reaching customers both in large cities and smaller towns," said Sławomir Nitek, CEO of Action Polska.
Action is an international non-food discount chain with 1,800 stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Italy. Provides more than 50,000 people in all countries, 41,000 of whom are employed directly by Action. Total net sales in 2020 were EUR 5.6 billion.
