Băneasa Developments, the company that manages the bank Băneasa Shopping City in the northern part of the Capital, reduced its turnover by 30 percent in 2020, the result reaching RON 160.7 million, according to the data on the website of the Ministry of Finance. The results come after a difficult year for retail in Romania and around the world, in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, which, in the first phase, closed the shopping centers, and then restricted their operation by various measures.

Băneasa Shopping City was the first mall in Romania to voluntarily cease operations on March 23, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemicc, before this was imposed, and the activity was resumed on June 15, 2020.
