Despite the crisis caused by the coronavirus of the Belgian-Swiss company Barry Callebaut, the company has not cancelled plans to build a chocolate factory along the regional M-7 road towards Zrenjanin, 90 kilometers northwest of Belgrade. The company is building a €50 million factory that will employ 100 workers and deliver 50,000 tons of chocolate a year throughout the region. Completion of works on the factory is planned for the beginning of 2021, with construction having begun in March 2020.
