Clariant’s EUR 140 million bioethanol factory has been completed

The Swiss company Clariant, which in 2018 announced an investment project of EUR 140 million in Romania, in Podari, Dolj County, about 10 km from Craiova, completed the construction of the local bioethanol plant, more than two and a half years later from the start of the works, according to a company announcement.
The bioethanol production unit will start the manufacturing process in the last quarter of 2021. Of the total investment of EUR140 million, EUR 40 million came from European funding.
