Construction sector output in Hungary dropped by 21 percent in July

The Central Statistical Office (KSH) published its monthly report, stating that the construction sector output in Hungary has dropped by 21 percent in July compared to the same period in 2019. The report states that construction of buildings decreased by 18,8% and civil engineering by 22,9%. KSH also informed that the number of new contracts has decreased by and average of 41,5%. The Central Statistical Office stated that the coronavirus pandemic had a major impact on these lower figures.
