Store closings are making most of the headlines during the pandemic, but the American fashion retailer Gap is an exception by promising to open shops in Slovakia and the Czech Republic by the end of the year. Lidove noviny writes that the company's products will also be available online. Gap products will be offered both through wholesalers and in exclusive retail stores, including limited edition items. Its arrival is thanks to a distribution partnership with CS Retail 1969, part of the C.S. Apparel Group. "We see both markets as an interesting opportunity," says Jan Fahoun, head of C.S Retail 1969. "We'll be able to offer an omnichannel shopping experience to all new as well as existing customers that have only been able to buy Gap products abroad."
