Gazprom Neft bitumen materials sales jump 20% in H1 2020

Gazpromneft-Bitumen Materials achieved sales of 1.2 million tonnes in H1 2020, a 20% increase year-on-year. Sales of premium polymer-bitumen binders (PBBs) were also up 20%, at 122,000 tonnes. In the first six months of 2020, the company increased deliveries of butumens to major infrastructure projects on developing the Russian transport system,to 1.1 million tonnes, a rise of 16%. Following the acquisition of the Izhura trademark, Gazprom Neft has also become Russia's most important producer of mastics and bitumen-polymer heat sealants for use in the construction and servicing of road-transport infrastructure facilities. Gazprom Neft boosted international exports by 41% in H1 2020, reaching 202,000 tons, supplying bitumen materials to Norway, Sweden, Latvia and Poland. The company has also been involved in supplying PBBs for the largest infrastructure project in Latin America - the B-Oceanic Corridor.
