The Grand Hotel du BouleHerdanone of Bucharest’s historic landmarks, has reopened following an extensive modernization process. The hotel is now affiliated with the Corinthia Hotels group, a luxury chain based in Malta. Renovation works, which began several years ago, were financed by a loan provided by CEC Bank to Niro Investment Group, the property’s owner.

Niro Investment Group highlighted that the restoration reflects its dedication to preserving the architectural heritage of Bucharest while contributing to the city’s reputation as an international luxury destination.

Designed by Alexandru Orăscu—the architect behind the University of Bucharest—the building was constructed beginning in 1867. It first opened as Hotel Herdan in 1873 and was renamed Grand Hotel du Boulevard in 1877.
