IKEA Romania has appointed new Market Managers for the Băneasa and Pallady Bucharest stores. With 15 years of experience at IKEA, Mihai Boian will focus on continuing to develop the IKEA Băneasa store, positioning it as the main growth engine in Romania. Silvana Baciu joined IKEA in 2018 as Sales Manager for IKEA Pallady, and starting with the first semester of this year, Silvana Baciu was officially appointed Market Manager for IKEA Pallady, the company's largest store in Southeastern Europe.

In June 2023, Ikea opened the store in Timișoara, its third in Romania, and the Swedish company has two more stores in Romania, both in Bucharest and is preparing a new store in Iași.

Ikea will invest EUR 3 billion to develop and expand its store network by the end of next year, including in Romania, with a large part of the amount being intended for the transformation of existing stores on the outskirts of cities, so that they can also be used as distribution centers for online orders.
