Leaked internal document shows Hungarian state-owned bank supporting billionaires golf club

An internal document that was leaked showed that Hungarian state-owned Eximbank paid a sponsorship fee of EUR 29.000 to Pannonia Golf & Country Club Association. The association is run by Mariavolgy Zrt that is owned by one of the subsidiary companies connected to Lorinc Meszaros, a close friend of premier Viktor Orban. Apart from the unannounced sponsorship, Eximbank has also given financial support of EUR 80.000 to a golf event called Golfunnep organized at the golf course.
