Hungary’s National Research, Development and Innovation Office has awarded MOL with a HUF 483m grant to develop polyol products, according to local news reports. The Hungarian oil and gas company said it will develop at least 10 products in an effort to give itself a competitive edge. Polyol is a component of polyurethane which is used for building materials, car parts and furniture. MOL said it will develop the products at its new €1.2bn polyol plant, which is currently underway in Tiszaujvaros.
