PGE has bought the Skoczyklody wind farm with a total capacity of 36 MW, located in the Skierniewice district, near Rawa Mazowiecka. The project will increase the total installed capacity of PGE wind farms by more than 5 percent and will make the company the largest producer of green energy in Poland. The Skoczykłody wind farm was built at the end of 2015 by Eco Power, part of the Wento holding. The project consists of 12 3MW turbines. The farm’s efficiency is close to 32 percent, and its annual production of nearly 100 GWh allows it to meet the energy needs of more than 40,000 households. The farm will benefit from the support system of green certificates until 2030, according to PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna.
