The Irish retailer Primark has opened a new store in the capital, in AFI Cotroceni. In this financial year, the company plans to open 17 stores, namely 7 in the US, 3 in France, 3 in Spain, 2 in Italy, 1 in Romania (in AFI Cotroceni) and its first store in Slovakia.

Primark AFI Cotroceni covers an area of 3,200 sqm on the first floor of the shopping center. The first Romanian store of the Irish retailer Primark opened in December in the ParkLake shopping center in Bucharest and involved an investment of EUR 10 million.

"We have very ambitious growth plans for Central and Eastern Europe, and the following openings in Romania are crucial for our expansion in the region. We are excited about the potential of the Romanian market and we are always looking for new opportunities to develop the Primark network," previously said Maciej Podwojski, Sales Director for Central and Eastern Europe.
