Romcim takes over Tehno World

Romcim, a company belonging to the Irish group CRH, the largest producer of construction materials in the world, took over the company Tehno World SRL, which owns a plastic pipe factory in Fălticeni, Suceava county.

The Competition Council authorized the transaction. With this acquisition, Romcim will operate in the north-east of Romania, in the town of Baia, Suceava county, through the TehnoWorld production unit, which includes four production halls and top equipment, making systems for utility networks at international standards, with 290 employees.

In 2023 Romcim took over the Romanian business of the precast concrete manufacturer Bauelemente, part of the Baupartner group. In the summer of 2022, Romcim also took over the Simbeton company, the Romanian subsidiary of the German Xella group, the largest producer of BCA on the local market.
