The Dulcinella confectionary chain, from the Republic of Moldova, which was taken over in 2023 by the Cornelius H Group investment fund, recently purchased for EUR 800,000 a 19,000 sqm plot of land in Bucharest, where it wants to relocate its production from Piatra Neamț. The investment in the new factory amounts to EUR 10 million and will be completed in mid-2026.

"We have completed the design work and at the beginning of next year we will start construction. It will take about a year and a half to complete. By the middle of 2026, the factory will be operational and will have up to 5,000 sqm, with additional production halls, 3 halls of 2,000 sqm each for cold storage and raw material. The production capacity will increase 10 times," says Sergiu Diaconu, the representative of Cornelius H Group LTD shareholders.

"I don't think there will be more than 200 people. We want a fully automated factory. It's a challenge to find labor anyway. We even thought for the new factory to build a dormitory and bring workers from abroad, from Asia," he states.
