The Gucci store on the ground floor of the Athenee Palace Hilton hotel in Bucharest was closed after business reached a record level, almost RON 21 million in 2021, after a slight increase from RON 20.7 million in the previous year. This is the best result since opening. The store was operated in a franchise system by the Calagiu family of local entrepreneurs.

Representatives of the Gucci franchise in Romania did not say what was the reason for closing the store, but according to the market sources the decision is not about the results of the local business, but a decision of the parent company to give up the units operated in the franchise.
