Action chain plans to open at least 81 stores in 2023

The Action chain plans to open at least the same number of stores as in 2022 (81) and hire a minimum of 1,000 new employees, the chain said.

The chain opened a record 81 stores in 2022, reaching a total of 256 locations nationwide. As of July, Action stores can be found in each of the 16 provinces. Last year was also a record year for the brand in terms of employment. 1,723 people found work at Action, with Action now employing 3,280 people nationwide. The past year also saw the opening of Action's second logistics center in Poland in Bierun, it was reported.

As a leading discount retailer, we believe it is our responsibility to continuously work on improving our products, supply chain, as well as implementing measures to reduce our carbon footprint," said Action's general director in Poland Slawomir Nitek.

Action is an international non-food discount chain with more than 2,100 stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Italy. It provides jobs for more than 65,000 people in all countries. In 2020, total net sales were €5.6 billion.
