Less than a year after the expansion into the Czech market, Allegro announced that the domain allegro.sk is available in Slovakia, which, as emphasized, opens up new export opportunities for Polish and Czech sellers. According to research conducted on behalf of the company, 79% of Slovaks are interested in shopping on the platform.

“As a result of our research, nearly half of the Slovaks showed an assisted knowledge of the Allegro brand. This is a promising starting point with our offer to the market, where 77% of respondents have already used shopping in the marketplace model. What’s more, the respondents declare their openness to getting to know and test Allegro: 82% of Slovaks intend to visit our domain, and 79% are interested in shopping on our platform,” Matthias Frechen said.

The International Platforms And Marketplaces In Slovakia survey was launched in January 2024 by Perfect Crowd on behalf of Allegro. There were 1,012 surveys on a representative sample of Slovaks aged 18 to 60 who make purchases on the Internet. The surveys were conducted online (CAWI).

“Allegro has been strongly marked by its presence on the new market from the beginning, giving the Slovaks access to 100 million offers in one place. This is ten times more than any other online store operating in Slovakia. Local Allegro users can count on proven features and services that have already won the recognition of customers in Poland and the Czech Republic: in addition to special promotional campaigns, they will be able to take advantage of, among others, secure transactions within Allegro Protect, the Lowest Price Guarantee and unlimited deliveries and free returns with the Allegro Smart package!

As in the Czech Republic, the new Slovak platform works on the principle of "exhibit it once, sell anywhere", so that registered sellers can easily manage their offers on different domains from the sales management panel, also explained.

Allegro is the number 1 trading platform in Poland. Sales are carried out mainly by companies via the marketplace Allegro.pl e-commerce platform. As of October 2016. Allegro is part of Cinven, Permir and Mid Europe. The company debuted on the WSE in October 2020. It is part of the WIG20 index.
