Budapest Airport closes of certain areas due to lack of passengers

Budapest Airport authorities have decided due to traffic reduction of passengers arriving and departing, to close certain areas of the airport due to traffic reduction. According to a statement from the airport authorities, amongst the closed areas are the recently opened Pier 1, the passenger hall and arrival side at Terminal 2A, and the departure level of the pier connected to Terminal 2B. Arriving passengers will be only allowed to leave the airport through Terminal 2B. Budapest Airport predicts that due to recent travel restrictions a maximum of 3000 passengers per day is expected.
