The software for the e-Toll toll collection system is ready and is undergoing intensive testing, said Przemysław Koch, the plenipotentiary of the Minister of Finance for IT.

"We have achieved further milestones - we have completed the software development phase and moved to the testing phase," Koch said during the videoconference. "We make sure that the system is efficient and scalable and fulfills its purpose - it allows for the payment of the toll in an innovative way" - he added.

An e-Toll user will use one free application. Registration to the system will be possible entirely online and it will not be necessary to sign a contract. The authorization method will be a trusted profile or tax data or eIDAS module, the representatives of the ministry explained.

Thanks to e-Toll, all tolls will be collected in one IT system without the need to maintain gates on motorways. Driving along the Konin - Stryków (A2 motorway) and Wrocław - Sośnica (A4 motorway) sections without stopping in front of the barrier will be possible from December 1, 2021, as previously reported by the ministry.
