Galerie Butovice offers free parking to car sharing company

Galerie Butovice in Prague 5 is the latest shopping mall that's begun offering free parking to vehicles owned by car sharing companies. In a new pilot project, it's set aside six parking spots in its garage exclusively for the Anytime car sharing company, but users can park anywhere in the garage for free. It's another step in the strengthening of share transportation," said Anytime's director Milan Beutl. "Free parking or cheaper parking for shared vehicles is completely normal in other countries and we expect the trend to expand in the Czech Republic." He said that the pandemic has increased interest in car sharing among people who worry about using public transportation but don't want to buy a car. Anytime has expanded the locations where customers can leave cars to new parts of Prague, including Dablice, Cakovice, Kyje, Horni Pocernice, Sterboholy, and Petrovice.
