German construction equipment producer Wacker Neuson opens factory in Serbia

German construction equipment maker Wacker Neuson Group opened a factory in Serbia's southern city of Kragujevac, according to the government. The company plans to employ 200 workers in the factory.

In March 2022, Wacker Neuson said it will invest EUR 23 million in the first phase of the construction of the factory spanning 20,000 sqm, with a potential to expand to 50,000 sqm.

Munich-headquartered Wacker Neuson is a global manufacturer of high-quality light and compact equipment. It also operates in the US and has a total of more than 6,300 employees.
