Polish private equity fund Innova Capital has confirmed its intention to buy PayPoint's Romanian subsidiary. The completion of the transaction is expected by March 2021, after receiving the necessary approvals. The British group PayPoint announced plans to sell its Romanian subsidiary to Innova Capital, for 47 million pounds, to focus on the development of the UK business.

"We are delighted to buy a respected company on the Romanian payments market. The network of terminals, partnerships with retailers and quality services have made PayPoint Romania the preferred brand in this segment and a reliable partner for retailers and service providers. PayPoint is the perfect basis for us to continue to develop the services we offer, to give customers access to safer and faster payments, ”said Krzysztof Kulig, Senior Partner at Innova Capital.
