Murapol posted PLN 219.15m net profit, PLN 266.2m EBIT in 2023

Murapol posted PLN 219.15m consolidated net profit in 2023 against PLN 212.9m profit a year earlier, operating profit was PLN 266.2m vs. PLN 255.25m profit a year earlier, consolidated sales revenue reached PLN 1,215.94m in 2023 against PLN 1,005.66m a year earlier, Mural reported.

Sales revenue increased by 21% and amounted to PLN 1 216 million. The increase was due to a higher volume of residential sales and a higher transaction price in the development segment. In 2023, 2 801 units were handed over compared to 2 653 units in 2022. In 2023, the average price of a unit handed over was PLN 365 thousand and in 2022. PLN 326 thousand. In addition, revenue in the PRS segment increased by PLN 53.4 million and amounted to PLN 187 million, according to the management report.

Last year, the Murapol Group handed over the keys to 2,801 residential units, compared to 2,653 delivered to owners in 2022. The largest number of flats in 2023 were handed over to customers in Kraków - 755, Poznań - 425, Gdańsk - 316, Toruń - 281 and Wrocław - 243. In addition, 191 customers in Gliwice, 171 in Bydgoszcz and 142 in Warsaw received keys to their units.

The gross sales margin in 2023 was 31.5 per cent, down 3.8 percentage points on 2022. The decrease in the sales margin as a percentage of sales was due to a higher proportion of sales in the PRS segment, which is characterised by lower margins compared to the property development segment.

In total in 2023. Murapol offered 3,770 new flats to customers compared to 2,631 a year earlier. The units introduced for sale are being built in 13 cities, both in the main domestic residential markets, i.e. Kraków, Poznań, Łódź, Wrocław and Gdańsk, but also in smaller locations such as Bielsko-Biała, Toruń, Gliwice, Sosnowiec and Siewierz.

At the end of 2023, the portfolio of projects under development included 6,238 units with a total floor area of up to 256,000 m2, being built in 54 buildings being erected as part of 24 developments in 14 cities. The largest number of new flats is being built in Łódź - 1,306 and Kraków - 1,284 units. In Gdańsk and Poznań, 1,044 and 812 residential units and investment flats, respectively, are being built, the company also report.

As at 31.12.2023, the land bank of the Murapol Group, included a portfolio of projects in the pipeline, comprising approximately 15.65 thousand units with a total usable area of 664.15 thousand m2, ensuring the continuity of its operations for the next few years.

On a standalone basis, net profit in 2023 was PLN 217.13m, compared to PLN 210.99m profit a year earlier.
