NEPI Rockcastle has announced that it intends to invest around EUR 100 million in ready-to-build greenfield photovoltaic projects in several new locations in Romania. The giant investment aims to expand the green energy generation capacity and cover the consumption needs of the tenants.

These new facilities will become operational by the end of 2026 and will contribute an additional 159 MW to the group's production capacity. This project will cover 80 percent of the energy needs of the portfolio in Romania and at the same time reduce the carbon footprint by 36 percent.

The company also announced that it will continue investing in the residential segment in Romania, after completing a first project in Bucharest. The developer has sold 82 percent of the apartments built in Vulcan Residence in Bucharest. The company has land in several cities in the country where in the past it has announced its intention to build new apartment buildings. Two new residential projects will be built in Brașov and Craiova.
