The Food Affairs catering business selected by Art-Invest Real Estate and Postbank for Neuer Kanzlerplatz opened in June. After the completion of the two houses 2 and 3 and the moving in of the major tenant Postbank, the restaurant concept specially developed for the modern location was able to start on time and is already convincing with culinary sophisticated and varied dishes. All in all, the users of the property as well as passers-by and neighbors have access to gastronomy offerings with almost 600 seats both indoors and outdoors. The newly acquired, publicly accessible space and the attractive catering options created a lively atmosphere from which the entire Bonn federal government district benefits directly.

The central food court on the ground floor of building 3 offers international street food, vegetarian food and regional specialties. While the recently opened Intense Café attracts visitors with home-made delicacies for a small snack and coffee from the micro-roastery, the Mediterranean Corner offers traditional dishes as well as exotic bowls and vegan dishes, so that there is something for every taste.

"It was important to us that the catering concept of the New Chancellor's Square paid off perfectly with the new structures of the modern working world. Flexibility is the top priority in order to meet the individual needs of the users. We are pleased that the culinary offer is also so well received by the neighborhood,” says Arne Hilbert, Managing Director of ArtInvest Real Estate.

From autumn, the Marketplace will be expanded by three counters. You can also end the day wonderfully on the outdoor terrace in the KANZLERS bar with delicious tapas, snacks and a varied cocktail menu for after-work events.

The gastronomy at Neuer Kanzlerplatz is freely accessible and open from Monday to Friday. "Our restaurants are characterized by a love of detail and a penchant for design combined with good, traditional craftsmanship," says Christian Niemeyer, Director of Food Affairs. "We don't just want to offer a break from work, we want to create real moments of pleasure. We are very pleased to be able to enrich the modern working environment of the New Kanzlerplatz with our gastronomy concept and to surprise the people at this extraordinary location with culinary experiences every day.”

Completion of the entire project is planned for the end of 2022. Almost all of the space has already been rented, only two floors with a view of the Siebengebirge are still available for rent in the high-rise.

The New Chancellor Square
By 2022, an ensemble of three pentagonal buildings with a striking high point on the trigonal site will be built on the site of the former Bonn Center. The architecture is unique and is characterized, among other things, by projecting facades, striking building cuts and three-dimensional concrete pilaster strips. On a gross floor area of 66,000 m², the new Kanzlerplatz offers the highest building standards for modern working environments and the best possible flexibility. A large public square connects the houses and acts as an inviting place to meet and stay. An appealing range of restaurants will ensure the revitalization of the district on Bundeskanzlerplatz, offering added value for residents and tenants. Since the start of construction in 2018, all construction measures have progressed on schedule. The landmark, house 1, reached its final height of 101.5 meters in November 2021 and can be seen from afar over Bonn. House 2 and 3 have been completed and have already been handed over to the future tenants. The outdoor facilities will be further expanded and will enliven the quarter with attractive green spaces and raised beds. The building complex has already been awarded the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold pre-certification. The U.S. The sustainability certification developed by the Green Building Council stands for environmentally friendly and resource-saving construction.
