Panattoni has announced the acquisition of a 9.6-hectare plot in Zakrzów, just 19 kilometers from Kraków’s city center, where it plans to build Panattoni Park Kraków East V. Construction is set to begin in October, and the developer has already secured its first tenant, Highway Automotive, a global distributor of vehicle parts.

The upcoming facility will feature a 30,000-square-meter, class A hall, with 8,000 square meters reserved for Highway Automotive. The company, which specializes in parts for trucks, buses, and heavy machinery, will use the new center to serve international markets starting in May 2025.

“Our rapid growth requires a facility that supports our expansion and optimizes our logistics and operations. Panattoni Park Kraków East V meets all our needs, and its prime location is a significant advantage,” said Paweł Łysień, COO of Highway Automotive.

Filip Noworól, Senior Leasing Manager at Panattoni, highlighted Kraków’s strong labor market and educational institutions as key factors in the city’s business potential. He also noted the challenge of finding suitable land in the region, expressing satisfaction with securing a plot in such a strategic location.

Panattoni Park Kraków East V will be located less than 2 kilometers from the A4 motorway and 9 kilometers from the S7 expressway, providing excellent connectivity to major cities in Poland and abroad. The site is also approximately 30 kilometers from Kraków Airport in Balice. The park’s flexible modular design will accommodate a range of uses, from logistics to light production.

In keeping with Panattoni’s commitment to sustainability, the new development will undergo BREEAM certification for an “Excellent” rating, ensuring lower operational costs for tenants and support for their climate goals.

Panattoni has been a key player in the Małopolska region’s industrial growth, developing over 290,000 square meters of modern industrial space. Recent projects include Panattoni Park Kraków North and several parks in Skawina, with more developments slated for completion this year, including City Logistics Kraków III.
