Entrepreneurs Dragoș and Adrian Pavăl, owners of the largest local DIY retailer Dedeman, enter the market for the collection and recycling of packaging waste, through a partnership, for the first time, with the Vrancart group, producer of paper, cardboard and packaging controlled by SIF Banat- Crișana, and with Somplast, a manufacturer of plastic parts, recently taken over by the TeraPlast group. In preparation for the launch on this niche, the Pavăl brothers bought, about a year ago, approximitly 17% of Vrancart Adjud, in a transaction of 27.5 million lei.

The new business of the Pavăl brothers will be carried out through the recently established company Ecorep Group, which will operate in the field of collection and recycling of recyclable waste and the transfer of packaging waste. In 2019, Dedeman reached a turnover of 8.2 billion lei and a net profit of 1.2 billion lei, increasing the total number of employees to over 11,000 people.
