Portland Trust implements new safety and hygiene standards for its office projects in Bucharest. EXPO Business Park project has become the first major office complex in Bucharest to house revolutionary safety solutions developed by Schindler - the global elevator and escalator company. The CleanAir and CleanCar systems, which use a highly disinfecting ultraviolet light, combine to make the closed space of the lifts as virus-free and bacteria-free as possible in a very short time.

The two systems will also be installed in the Portland Trust's J8 Office Park complex, scheduled for completion in the summer of 2021. "Because elevators are so heavily used by many people in a confined space, the environment inside them can facilitate the spread of infections. These innovative UV solutions allow the full use of elevators and join our other measures to establish new standards of hygiene and cleanliness for office buildings in Bucharest, ”says Robert Neale, CEO Portland Trust.
