The number of passengers flying with Russian airlines in October fell 39% year on year. In September it was registered a 32% drop, compared to the same month last year. According to the aviation authority, fewer people took flights due to the coronavirus pandemic. So far this year, 59.44 million passengers have flown with Russian airlines, a decrease of 46.1% compared to the same period last year, according to Russia’s federal aviation agency Rosaviatsiya. Russia grounded international flights earlier this year because of the pandemic and has since resumed several select routes.
