Sphera Franchise Group reports net profit of RON 40.6 million for H1 2024

Sphera Franchise Group announces that it has continued to improve its performance, the first half of 2024 being the best first half in its history in terms of sales, EBITDA and net profit. Compared to the same period last year, the Group recorded a 6.4 percent increase in sales (reaching RON 740 million) and a net profit that more than doubled.

Thus, the net profit recorded in the first semester was RON 40.6 million, up 109.4 percent compared to the first semester of 2023. Operating profit of restaurants reached RON 87.8 million in S1, +44 .8 percent compared to S1 2023, with double-digit increases for Taco Bell, KFC Romania and KFC Moldova.

KFC Romania was the main driver, achieving a profit of RON 45.9 million, 74.4 percent higher compared to the same period last year.

“In the first half of the year, we achieved very good financial results despite less favorable market conditions, including higher than expected inflation and cautious consumer behaviour. Our performance once again demonstrates the strength of the strategy and the strength of the brands in our portfolio, supported by an exceptional team, to whom I thank for our success today," said Călin Ionescu, CEO, Sphera Franchise Group.
