The brothers Francisco José and Juan María Riberas Mera, owners of one of the largest groups in the European car industry, Gestamp, and some of the richest Spaniards, are preparing to enter the Romanian real estate market with a residential project with over 1,000 apartments in Pipera, on a land that belonged, in the past, to George Becali.

Through Inmobiliaria Acek, the real estate division of Gestamp Group, the two brothers own two neighboring plots of land where they now have a residential development plan already approved on one of the two plots and expect to start construction. The first land, on which the Acek Nord project is to be developed, has an area of 14,482 sqm and blocks with a total of over 500 apartments are planned on it. The second lot is 13,950 sqm and could support a construction with a similar number of apartments.
